ABOUT ERASMUS+

Erasmus+ is a European Union Programme that supports actions in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport and provides grants for a wide range of activities.

The Erasmus+ Programme gives opportunities to students, trainees, staff and volunteers to spend a period abroad to increase their skills and employability and it supports organisations to work in transnational partnerships and to share innovative practices in the fields of education, training and youth.

The actions of the Erasmus + Programme are divided into decentralised actions and centralised actions.

  • The decentralised actions are managed in each programme country by National Agencies that are appointed by their national authorities.

  • The centralised actions are managed at a European level by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) located in Brussels.

Strategic partnerships

The Erasmus+ Programme comprises three different key actions: 1) Learning Mobility of Individuals, 2) Cooperation for Innovation and Good Practices, and 3) Support to Policy Reforms.

Strategic Partnerships are a decentralised action within Key Action 2 and aims to support the development, transfer and/or implementation of innovative practices as well as the implementation of joint initiatives promoting cooperation, peer learning and exchanges of experience at European level.

Strategic Partnerships are open to any type of organisation active in any field of education, training and youth or other socio-economic sectors as well as to organisations carrying out activities that are transversal to different fields (e.g. local and regional authorities, recognition and validation centers, chambers of commerce, trade organisations, guidance centers, cultural organisations).

Depending on the priority addressed by the project, Strategic Partnerships should involve the most appropriate and diverse range of partners in order to benefit from their different experiences, profiles and specific expertise and to produce relevant and high quality project results.

To be funded, Strategic Partnerships must address either a) at least one horizontal priority or b) at least one specific priority relevant to the field of education, training and youth that is mostly impacted.

The objective of this contact seminar is to establish strategic partnerships that address priorities related to entrepreneurship.
